INCLUSIVE ARTS

At Spark Inclusive Arts we believe that the arts have the power to change the world. We are a non-profit organization that aims to dissolve barriers between people with and without disabilities. We serve our communities by offering classes, training, workshops and performances that are designed to help create a more inclusive society.

About Our Director

Michaela Knox is a Maine-based performer, choreographer, and teacher. She is the founder of Spark Inclusive Arts and a Master teacher of the Danceability method. She holds an MA in Educational Leadership from the University of New Mexico. She performed with 20 moons Dance Theatre from 2014-2018 in Durango Colorado and is currently the Artistic Director of YES Dance Theatre Ensemble in Bath, ME.

Knox is passionate about supporting others in the discovery and research of their self-expression. She considers it her life’s work to help dissolve barriers between people with and without disabilities with the hope of creating a more inclusive society for all people.
